The Game

Keshi is a game, not a nutrition course

Keshi helps children aged 5 and older develop a positive “mental map” of healthy food and exercise, and to stay away from ultra-processed foods.

Keshi instills defensive reflexes, just like when you learn how to cross the road: look left, then right. No need to learn every single traffic rule. This is why Keshi only includes 10+10 food items representative of their category and easy to recognize. The child can always learn more later on with her parents or perhaps with another game.

Keshi is a “safe” game

No weapons, no fights, no violence. Keshi is not connected so no need to worry about unwanted interruptions. No risk of addiction either: game times are limited by the avatar itself (it’s not hungry all the time) and you can pre-set them in the 2021 version.

To play Keshi, you need to move. Why?

Because growing up healthy calls for regular physical activity.

It is as important as a healthy diet: food and physical activity must be equally balanced for healthy growth.

Since she needs to move to let her avatar grow, your child creates a positive association between physical activity and her own growth.

Let’s get started!

Keshi is an intuitive game: from the moment they pick up the smartphone or tablet, children already know how to play. But as a parent, you can also be part of the adventure and share your child’s experience.

Keshi is based on “Augmented Reality”: the avatar shows up on top of your real-world surroundings and you can move it around using the “Motion Pad”.

Move your Keshi avatar around, in your living room, your kitchen, your garden or the local park. All you need to do is move!

But beware: just like in real life with all the commercials, junk food is coming for you: dodge the 10 bad food items, or else your Keshi will put on weight.

Instead, grab the 10 healthy food items that will help Keshi grow without the extra kilos. Sound effects help you tell the good ones from the bad ones.

Go through all 10 levels and turn Keshi into a superhero. With every level that you clear, Keshi earns a piece of its superhero outfit.

How did we choose the 10 + 10 food items in Keshi?

They were selected by the dietitian of the Clinique du poids junior de l’HUDERF (Hôpital Universitaire des enfants Reine Fabiola) as the most representative of our modern food habits.

The “healthy ones”:

The point is not to give a lecture on diet but to create protective reflexes:
« I found out that some of the food or drinks I like are bad for my Keshi, while others help him grow and become a superhero.
I want to learn more about this in the future. »

The “harmful ones”:

We can’t just say “harmful” because their effect on the body depends a lot on how much and how often you eat them: a McDonald’s burger once in a while is not the same as eating a daily Happy Meal like some US teens do (33% of them are overweight). In 2021, Keshi’s gameplay will take that into account (see further down).

How much does Keshi cost?

You may think that many apps and video games are free. But most of them are actually supported by apps or in-app purchases to boost your progress in the game.

In 2020, Keshi is free as a prototype

Keshi is a free-to-play (F2P) game without in-game ads nor in-app purchases of power-ups.

Just one avatar and 10 levels.
